Date Change

Please note that the date of the Sunday Sing has been changed from the 3rd Sunday in January to the 5th Sunday in January...Don't forget to suggest your favorites!

New Beginnings...

Well, Saturday begins a New Year full of new beginnings and new opportunities.  Every day that we are given is such a blessing.  We should make the most of our time.  There are so many things to consider as we begin a new year...Some people call them New Year's Resolutions.  The problem with those is that we start them and maybe a month later, stop.  Maybe we should focus more on what is important (i.e. - our relationship with the Lord) and see what He asks us to change.
For me, this New Year is bringing a definite new beginning.  I am going to spend more time with the church and with my family.  I get the privilege and opportunity of doing what I absolutely love.  I couldn't be more excited to embark on this next phase in my journey of life.  God has blessed me more than I could have even dreamed. 
I ask that you pray for my family as we step out on faith.  I pray that God uses us to our fullest potential in the work in which He has called us!  I also pray that He does the same for you!!
What is it that God is calling you to do?  If the answer is nothing, maybe you need to begin with step 1 - focus more on Him and see what He has planned for you.
May God lead and guide all of us as we seek to serve Him!  Happy New Year!

Services Canceled 12/26/2010

Let It Snow!  And it did...and it is...  I am amazed at how much snow has already fallen and how much is still coming down!  It is beautiful (at least from my nice warm living room).  With all the snow, we want to consider safety.  Therefore, First Missionary Baptist Church of LaGrange will not have any services or activities today, December 26, 2010.  Enjoy your day, enjoy the snow, enjoy your family...But please...still spend some time with the Lord today...After all, it is STILL His day...and what a day it is!

As a special note for the choir, we will sing the specials from today next week...so keep them fresh in your mind.

What do I want for Christmas?  How about HOPE, JOY, PEACE, AND LOVE = JESUS!  Merry Christmas Everyone!!

Coming in January!

It is back!!  The fifth Sunday in January (January 30th) will be a day of celebration in song.  As we did last year, the choir will sing favorites of the congregation for the service!  If you have a favorite that you would like to hear the choir sing, please let me know and we will work to get it put in the schedule.

Please note that this is a date change from last year - It will be the 5th Sunday in January this year rather than the 3rd.

Christmas Eve Service
